McGuigan Black Label Merlot (75cl) The Black Label Wine, McGuigan’s most iconic range, is full bodied and fruit driven. The fruit for this wine was picked in the cool of the night and transported directly to the winery to be crushed, de-stemmed and immediately clarified. On the palate this is a well rounded and fruity wine featuring the rich flavours of ripe plum, blackberry jam and spices. Post fermentation the wine was racked of the ferment lees and remained on light lees until blended and bottled.Premium parcels of fruit from famous regions across Southern Australia were blended to produce the balanced the style and flavour profile to this harmonious wine.

This base wine then underwent the Charmat method of secondary fermentation to deliver great fruit flavours and refreshing bubbles. Shiraz wine from various specially selected vintages were combined to form the ideal base for this sparkling. Rich crimson in colour with plum, cherry and chocolate aromas, followed by rich blackcurrant and a hint of spicy oak.
