We must be honest with citizens that whilst we can mange the impact of disasters, we cannot prevent all of them. Arnold shows us how to put those tools to work, in service of whatever fulfilling future we can dream up for ourselves. She has been an advisor on nearly every major disaster of the past two decades, including the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, 9/11, the 7/7 bombings, the Salisbury Poisonings, Grenfell and most recently has been advising the Prime Minister's Office on the Covid-19 pandemic.
