Her sound has always been too notch from the beginning and I’m glad she’s now getting the recognition she deserves. According to Bush, the title alluded to conflicting emotions, good and bad, which pass, as she stated: "we must tell our hearts that it is 'never for ever', and be happy that it's like that".

Even Hounds of Love exhibits a profound sense of tensity with Bush’s voluminous hair and dramatic yet soft purple hues.

Lanzado en septiembre de 1980, fue el primero de la artista en lograr el número uno en las listas de popularidad, así como también fue el primero en general por una solista británica en encabezar el UK album chart y debutar en la primera posición. However; the other Single featured on this Album: 'Army Dreamers' I was not so keen on, but I would say on the original vinyl LP that Side Two is probably the stronger one of the two. This means that there isn't an immediate (ahem) 'Wow' factor, but the rewards become evident on repeated plays. Bush was pleased with the results (it depicts a multitude of animals and monsters emerging from under her skirt). album and was also the first album by a British female solo artist to top the UK Albums Chart, as well as being the first album by any female solo artist to enter the chart at No.

Babooshka"'s motherly charm and flexible chorus make it one of her best tracks, proving that she can make the simplest of lyrics work for her through her tailored vocal acrobatics. The range of styles on Never for Ever is much more diverse, veering from the straightforward rocker "Violin" to the wistful waltz of hit single " Army Dreamers". Firstly; it had three pretty big hit Singles to its credit - two of which were her best ever in my opinion, and should really have given Kate Bush at least one Number One; 'Babooshka' and 'Breathing'.

overall Never For Ever is one of the mst epic albums Kate has done and one of my top 25 favorites, a must for everyone. Never for Ever, however, diverges considerably in stylistic diversity, ranging from the direct and energetic ‘Violin’ to the nostalgic waltz of the chart-topping single ‘Army Dreamers’. By extension, the cover art features a striking design that reflects the creative essence of the album and all of its messy yet stunning inclinations. However, as someone has already commented, the older albums do seem to benefit from being remastering better, including this one.
